The best AI visibility tools at a glance

An AI visibility tool asks AI products a fixed list of questions, called prompts, on a schedule. It records whether your brand is mentioned and your site is cited. AI visibility tools differ most in price, in the engines they cover and in what they count as visible. The tools are listed alphabetically, with SerpBeats last because it is ours. Prices are in dollars as each page shows them, without tax.

How we compared these AI visibility tools

We read each company's own page on 4 November 2026: Ahrefs Brand Radar, Otterly.AI, Peec AI, Profound, SE Ranking, Semrush and our own pricing page. Where a page shows a dollar sign without naming the currency, we kept the dollar sign. Where a page shows no price or does not tie a limit to a price, we say so.

We did not test the accuracy of any of these AI visibility tools, and we make no claim that one tool's data is better than another's. This page is about what each tool costs and covers. Plans change, so check the company's page before you buy. If you see a different number, tell us and we will fix it.

The best AI visibility tools, one by one

Ahrefs Brand Radar

Brand Radar sits inside Ahrefs. Its page lists two products: Custom Prompts, from $50 a month, and the AI Visibility Index at $199 a month. A check is one prompt run on one platform, and prompts are checked daily. Custom Prompts comes in tiers: Lite has 5 prompts (150 checks a month), Standard 10 and Advanced 20, and the page does not show a price for each tier. It reports mentions, citations and AI share of voice. It fits teams that already work in Ahrefs.

Otterly.AI

Otterly.AI has the lowest listed entry price of the standalone tools here: Lite is $29 a month for 15 prompts, Standard $189 for 100 and Premium $489 for 400. The page shows a second price set ($25, $160 and $422) without saying which billing option it belongs to, so check the toggle on its page. ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot are on every plan, while Gemini, AI Mode and Claude cost extra each month. Countries and team members are unlimited, and a free trial is offered, with no length stated. It fits a small prompt list on a tight budget.

Peec AI

Peec AI Starter is $95 a month for 50 prompts and 4,500 AI answers, with 3 active models and 1 country, tracked daily. Pro is $245 for 150 prompts and 3 countries, and Advanced is $495 for 350 prompts. Team users are unlimited on every plan, and Enterprise adds API models such as Claude, Grok and DeepSeek. It fits marketing teams that want daily data. We compare it in detail on the Peec AI alternative page.

Profound

Profound shows no plan prices. Its page offers a free trial (50 prompts a day for 7 days, 1 language, 1 region) and a custom Enterprise plan with up to 10 AI engines, SSO/SAML and SOC 2. It fits large brands with enterprise security needs. The Profound alternative page has the details.

SE Ranking

SE Ranking sells AI visibility as an add-on from $71 a month, and its Core plan ($129 a month, or $103.20 when billed yearly, per its page) includes AI Visibility tracking with 25 prompts daily on 5 AI engines. It fits teams that already use SE Ranking for SEO.

Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit

The toolkit is $99 a month per domain, billed annually; the page shows no monthly-billed price. It includes 25 custom prompts with daily AI rankings across ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini and Perplexity, plus AI Visibility Overview, Competitor Research, Prompt Research and a site audit for AI readiness. Semrush's main pricing page also lists AI search features inside some SEO plans. It fits Semrush users who want AI data in the same login.

SerpBeats

SerpBeats is a Google rank tracker with an AI visibility add-on. The AI Bundle is $8.99 a month for 1,500 AI queries on 3 platforms, and AI Bundle Pro is $22.99 for 5,000 queries on 4 platforms: ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Mode. Both need a rank tracking plan, from $10 a month. AI answers are checked once to three times a week, depending on the plan, and Google AI Overviews are read weekly with your keywords. It fits small sites, local businesses and agencies that want rank tracking and AI visibility in one place.

Where SerpBeats is not the right pick

Among AI visibility tools, SerpBeats fits some jobs and not others. It is not the right pick if:

  • You want daily AI checks. The self-serve plans check AI answers up to three times a week.
  • You track Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Grok or DeepSeek. SerpBeats tracks four platforms: ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Mode.
  • You need sentiment or brand-mention share of voice. SerpBeats counts a prompt as visible when your domain is a cited source, or when the answer recommends your Google Maps business. A brand name alone is not counted, and sentiment is not scored.
  • You need enterprise security. SerpBeats lists no SSO or SOC 2.
  • You track hundreds of prompts in many countries. The larger tools above are built for that.

How to choose among AI visibility tools

Five questions sort AI visibility tools quickly:

  1. How many prompts do you need? Start with the questions your customers really ask. A few dozen is a normal first list.
  2. Which engines matter to your customers? Pay for the ones they use, not for the longest list.
  3. Daily or weekly? Daily data shows change faster. Weekly data costs less and is enough for a trend.
  4. What counts as visible? Some tools report mentions in the text, some report citations of your site, some both. Ask before you compare numbers.
  5. What does one answer cost? Divide the monthly price by the answers you get. Our Peec AI comparison does this for two tools.

What no AI visibility tool can tell you

No tool sees the questions real people type into ChatGPT. Every one of these AI visibility tools runs a list of prompts that you or the tool choose, and reports what the AI answered. Answers differ from run to run, and providers change them without notice. Treat one answer as a sample and the rate over several weeks as the measure. No tool can promise a mention.
